Stacking the Shelves is hosted at Tynga’s Reviews where all the books we got recently would be featured – both physical and digital.
My haul this week includes…
Borrowed:
- Finnikin of the Rock (Lumatere Chronicles #1) by Melina Marchetta
- The Darkest Minds (The Darkest Minds #1) by Alexandra Bracken
- Falling Kingdoms (Falling Kingdoms #1) by Morgan Rhodes
- In the Shadows by Kiersten White & Jim Di Bartolo
- Graceling (Graceling Realm #1) by Kristin Cashore
- Erased (Altered #2) by Jennifer Rush
- The Iron Traitor (The Iron Fey: Call of the Forgotten #2) by Julie Kagawa
- Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days #1) by Susan Ee
This week, I’ve got an influx of fantasy novels that mostly aren’t very new. First, Finnikin of the Rock was a book I’ve heard a ton of people fangirling about, especially The Duchesses (Charlotte @ Gypsy Reviews, Tory @ Quiet Stories, Paola @ A Novel Idea & Charlene @ Bookish Whimsy). So I thought, since I’m already such a humongous fan of high fantasy novels, I should try this one out too.
The same goes for Graceling, which quite a few of my friends back in secondary school had aggressively recommended me last year. I’ve since lost contact with some of them but I’m pretty sure they’ll be glad I finally gave in to their recommendation! As for The Darkest Minds, this is the second time I’m borrowing it because I didn’t have enough time to get to it the first time round. Really hope I’ll be able to read my library books faster and actually finish them all.
I will admit I’ve been borrowing way too many library books in the past few weeks and lets be realistic, I probably wouldn’t be able to read quite a few of them before the due date. But a girl can hope…
That’s it for me! What books have you been stacking your shelves with this week?
I’ve heard so many amazing things about Finnikin of The Rock. I hope you enjoy it and the rest of your books. :-)

Finnikin of the Rock and Angelfall have been on my TBR list for a while now. I should bite the bullet and pick up both, seeing as I’ve heard so many great things about both.
Great haul! Here is our StS!

Gosh, there’s three series here I need to start! I have Graceling and Angelfall but I haven’t read them yet. I’ve heard nothing but good things about Darkest Minds so I need to start that and soon!

Nice haul this week. I really want to start the Graceling, Angelfall, The Darkest Minds and Altered series, hearing amazing things about them all. I own three of the four so I really hope to get to them all very soon. I hope you have a great reading week and enjoy all of your new additions :) Here’s my STS.

Great haul! I’m quite the same when I check out library books. That’s why I became ecstatic when I became the “librarian” at a middle school. I get to pick what YA and MG books to add, and I can check them out without worrying about a fine. ;-)

You’ve got some of my FAVORITE fantasies here! The Lumatere Chronicles was amazing but you have to be ok with a slower paced fantasy, especially for Finnikin. Graceling and The Falling Kingdoms are the two other favorites of mine but I also love Angelfall!
Happy Reading!

Thanks great to hear! Being a fantasy-lover myself too, I can’t wait to read all of them!

This is an incredibly AWESOME haul!!!! The only one of these I actually own is “Falling Kingdomes”, but the others are all on my TBR shelves. I can’t wait to get all of these!! I guess I could borrow some from the library, but it’s been ages since I’ve even had a library card. That’s because, in the past, every time I fell in love with a book I borrowed from the library, I felt so sad about having to return it….. My finances are not doing too well at the moment, so I might have to do that, though. Kindle editions are not an option, either — I HATE ebooks!!
Hope you enjoy all of your treasures, and have a GREAT weekend!! : )

I completely understand about not being able to buy many books! Oh well, lets hope for the day we both get to have our own personal libraries.

I have not read any of these books yet because I tend to prefer contemporary, but I hope that you enjoy reading them all. Have a great weekend! :D
