The thrilling conclusion to In the After, the survival story of Amy and Baby, set in a near future where Earth has been overrun by vicious, predatory creatures.

It’s been three months since Amy escaped New Hope, and she’s been surviving on her own, like she did in the After. Until one day, her former fellow Guardian’s voice rings out in her earpiece. And in a desperate tone, Kay utters the four words Amy had hoped she would never hear: Dr. Reynolds has Baby.

Now it’s a race against time, for Baby is in imminent danger, her life threatened by the malevolent doctor who had helped start the end of the world. In order to save Baby, Amy must make her way to Fort Black, a prison-turned-survivor-colony, where she will need to find Ken, Kay’s brother. He alone holds the key to Baby’s survival.

One small slip-up on this quest could spark a downward spiral that would not only cost Baby and Amy their lives, but threaten the very survival of the people in the After.

That synopsis is so intense my brain might explode. It’s a good intense, of course. And after the awesomeness that was In the After? This is me right now:

I want it now

What book are you waiting on this week?

  1. I haven’t heard of this series yet but that sounds like on hell of a finale! I do hope Baby is a nickname, because no child should have to grow up being called that! I also love that they decided to go for an “art” cover rather than another photo of a girl!
    Thanks for sharing :)

    1. Haha, Baby is definitely a nickname! I would really recommend you read this duo logy soon! The theory of how the apocalypse occurred was pretty interesting and how Amy learned to survived in the post-apocalypse world was an utter eye-opener. And yes, this cover sure does justice to the kickass story than any random model could hope to accomplish! Thanks for stopping by too!

    1. I sort of get what you mean by the second half being slow as compared to the action-packed first half! But after that ending, I’m so excited to see where Amy goes in the next leg of her journey too!
