Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted over at Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
The Geography of You and Me
by Jennifer E. Smith
Publication Date: 15 April 2014
by Poppy
Lucy and Owen meet somewhere between the tenth and eleventh floors of a New York City apartment building, on an elevator rendered useless by a citywide blackout. After they’re rescued, they spend a single night together, wandering the darkened streets and marveling at the rare appearance of stars above Manhattan. But once the power is restored, so is reality. Lucy soon moves to Edinburgh with her parents, while Owen heads out west with his father.
Lucy and Owen’s relationship plays out across the globe as they stay in touch through postcards, occasional e-mails, and — finally — a reunion in the city where they first met.
A carefully charted map of a long-distance relationship, Jennifer E. Smith’s new novel shows that the center of the world isn’t necessarily a place. It can be a person, too.

At this point, I’d read anything Jennifer E. Smith writes. Her contemporary novels are so unconventionally endearing and honestly, I would really love to know how she comes up with all these crazy situations for couples to be in!
What book are you waiting on this week?
Yees. I read the statistical probability when it first came out and enjoyed it so I was super happy to see this on netgalley and get approved for it!!

Ooh, then I’m definitely looking forward to your review of it, can’t wait! And is Half Bad good? It’s on my TBR too!

I’m really enjoying Half Bad. I’m nearly finished and I’m dreading finishing it because I know that nothing is going to be wrapped up in the first book, it is all going to happen in the sequel! Which is both good and very frustrating haha!

Haha, but I’m definitely glad to hear it’s good! Then that’s another review of yours I’m looking forward to. ;)

ahaha ahhh you are lovely ^.^ Do you have a schedule for your blog or do you just post what you feel like?

Aww, thanks! For WoW, I schedule them (crazily) beforehand and sometimes TTT too, depending on the topic. While for my reviews it depends whether I already have something scheduled that day, you know, sticking to one post per day. I do try to post everyday though that usually doesn’t work out due to life and all that jazz, haha. But I do post only when I truly want to in order to keep it fun – and like a hobby – instead of a job, something I must do. I’m not the sort who responds well to job-like or forced activities. XD

Ahhh I see. That’s not dissimilar to my routine. I’ve wound up posting once a day but not on weekends, and tuesdays/wednesdays are meme days- reviews are monday, thursday and friday (I normally have at least 2 reviews ready to go on my netbook per week)
That makes sense- the last thing you want is book blogging to become more of a chore and to lose the fun of it : /

Exactly! Couldn’t have said it better, myself. But I’m a pretty slow reader so if I get 2 reviews up within a week (during the school term, school holidays are a different story altogether), it would be a real feat.

She’s definitely an auto-buy for me! Read The Geography of You and Me back last month and LOVED it. It still had that vibe that she has, but it had more depth than the previous two. You won’t be disappointed! :)
