Enders
by Lissa Price
Series: Starters #2
Publication Date: 07 January 2014
by Delacorte Press
Someone is after Starters like Callie and Michael—teens with chips in their brains. They want to experiment on anyone left over from Prime Destinations—Starters who can be controlled and manipulated. With the body bank destroyed, Callie no longer has to rent herself out to creepy Enders. But Enders can still get inside her mind and make her do things she doesn’t want to do. Like hurt someone she loves. Having the chip removed could save her life—but it could also silence the voice in her head that might belong to her father. Callie has flashes of her ex-renter Helena’s memories, too . . . and the Old Man is back, filling her with fear. Who is real and who is masquerading in a teen body?
No one is ever who they appear to be, not even the Old Man. Determined to find out who he really is and grasping at the hope of a normal life for herself and her younger brother, Callie is ready to fight for the truth. Even if it kills her.

I read Starters about a year ago and that ending… it was just insane! Although I’ve got conflicting feelings about it, it definitely accomplished in making me curious and dying to get my hands on Enders. Regarding the cover change, I do like the colors on this new cover but the first one was honestly more unique and eye catching. It was pretty annoying though, when the publication of Enders was pushed back by quite a few months. Lets hope this one sticks because the need to find out what comes next is killing me slowly!
What book are you waiting on this week?
I haven’t read this series yet!! I’ve heard so many good things about Starters, though, and that synopsis for Enders has me intrigued… Hope you enjoy it!

I’m in the same boat as you in regards to this series. I know I want to read the sequel, but I’m going to have to re-read Starters first, to remember exactly *why*…I remember there was a twist at the end of the first book, which I liked enough to read in one sitting…but I don’t remember what!

I remembered the twist because it was one of the most disturbing twists I ha ever come across!

I’m looking forward to re-reading all of my books in the next year- using it to fill up this new book blog with reviews as I go! So it gives me a second excuse to re-read Starters before Enders comes out- so many exciting new releases in 2014 to keep up with! You’re the first blog I’ve come across on here really to talk about this series though so I’ll definitley be messaging you with my thoughts on the sequel!
